Sunday, May 10th, 2009 Mother's Day Special - "Poets in the Wild." Winding through the scenic beauty of the Rouge River Valley, this invigorating trek over varied terrain makes a perfect early spring outing for adventurous spirits. We’ll journey through field, stream, and forest, and encounter myriad plants and flowers returning to life after a long winter, along with all manner of local animals – it’s not unusual to come across a beaver or two. Also, it's a first for us to have Edward Nixon of livewords bringing along some of his Poet friends to share their thoughts and words with us.
10:00 a.m.
Start:Rouge Valley Conservation Centre (aka Pearse House)
Walk Length:5K - 8K
Notes:Rugged terrain hiking boots strongly recommended! Visit the official Rouge Park website at www.rougepark.com .
